The first ever 2024 Chevrolet Silverado HD ZR2 began production in August 2023 at the Flint Production plant in Michigan. This will be one of three flagship trucks for Chevrolet, and for good reason.

2024 Chevy Silverado HD ZR2 Specifications
The new 2024 Chevrolet Silverado HD ZR2 will come with an Allison 10-speed automatic transmission, and two engine options- Gas 6.6L V8 and Duramax 6.6L V8 TurboDiesel. The gas engine will have 401 horsepower and 464 lb/ft torque. The turbodiesel will have 470 horsepower and 975 lb/ft torque.
This truck comes as a 2500 crew cab standard bed with a 36 gallon tank for gas and diesel.

The Chevy Silverado HD ZR2 offers a top of the line infotainment center with a generously large 13.4 inch screen. Not only is it large, it tilts toward the driver making it easier for the driver to see it, is touchscreen, and has Google integrations. Straight ahead of the driver is a smaller, yet still generous, 12.3 inch driver information cluster.
For those times when you really can’t take your eyes off the road, the Chevy Silverado HD ZR2 features a Head-Up Display so you can see what you need straight ahead on the windshield. This not only offers speed, but built in is an inclinometer for when you’re putting the off-road capabilities to use, and HD Surround Vision.
Instead of a center console, there is a flow-under console, creating the spaciousness of a bench seat, without losing the storage of a center console. The redesigned wireless phone charger is now below the armrest and at an angle.

The exterior of the 2024 Chevy Silverado HD ZR2 will have the same stylish front grille as all of the other trucks in the ZR2 family. The Chevrolet emblem will have the hallowed out “flow tie” emblem allowing more airflow to the engine.
