What’s New for 2023?

The first mid-engine Corvette Z06 started production in the summer of 2022, and on 2023, it will be on sale as a 2023 model. In line with tradition, the Z06 is a more extreme, track-focused version of the standard Vette, equipped with edgier stylistic cues and notable performance upgrades.

The brand-new Corvette Z06 has a unique engine that makes it sound like the supercars it aims to dethrone. Its 5.5-liter flat-plane V-8 engine produces 670 horsepower, revs to 8500 rpm, and is naturally aspirated. The unconventional V-8 hooks up to an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive. 20-inch front and 21-inch rear forged aluminum wheels are standard on the vehicle, but a pair of stronger and lighter carbon-fiber wheels is available.

The square steering wheel and wall of climate-control buttons on the center console are unique aspects to say the least. The arrangement of the interior is still designed with the driver in mind, and there is a long list of both standard and optional amenities. It has a head-up display, heated and ventilated seats, a digital instrument cluster, and even wireless phone charging. With microsuede accents, harshly bolstered seats, and two carbon-fiber-intensive interior kits, it is more obvious that it is track-worthy inside. The Corvette’s rear trunk is spacious enough to fit two sets of golf clubs.

Wider fenders, quarter panels, and fascias on the Z06’s stunning exterior give it a more dominating shape than the Stingray. The efficiency of aerodynamic drag and powertrain cooling is optimized by the typical ground effects and spoiler. Replaceable spoiler wickerbills, rear brake cooling ducts, a detachable front fascia panel, and front underwing stall gurneys all contribute to the Z06’s increased downforce, which keeps it balanced and firmly planted as you round the course.
